This GIVING TUESDAY, help us keep county government transparent and accountable.
It's GIVING TUESDAY and we're asking for your encouragement and support.
Please donate today. DCCR's board and bloggers are volunteers but we have all of the basic expenses required to maintain a 501(c)3 organization including: State fees, website hosting, software subscriptions, and professional memberships. Most of our funding, however, goes to pay for open records requests, legal counsel, and, on occasion, direct legal action.
Because of you, we've accomplished a lot in the past several years to improve open and accountable government in Delta County, Colorado. Our hyper-local coverage has kept the community informed, prompted several news articles in regional media and influenced many decisions made by local officials.
More importantly, Delta County has seen increased participation from concerned and engaged residents who are adding their voice to develop policies and processes, and demand transparency in our local government. With the support of people like you, our stories have taken some of the fear and mystery out of the government budget, land-use code, internal staffing, public works, and many other governmental activities that often feel intimidating to the average citizen.
As we've done since 2016, Delta County Citizen Report will continue to engage our community and challenge county officials. We need your encouragement and financial support to do it.
Please stand with us to protect your right to transparency, fair representation and ethics in local county government. GIVE TODAY, PLEASE. And thank you so much for your encouragement.
